Address

The Forth Road Bridge is a large suspension bridge with two steel towers, sweeping main cables and a long suspended deck across the Firth of Forth. Nearly 40,000 tonnes of steel went into its construction, with vast anchorages cut into the rock on either shore. Its main cables were assembled from thousands of miles of high-tensile wire spun across the estuary.
