A prominent gritstone ridge north of Stoke-on-Trent topped by a dramatic ruined 18th-century folly. Exposed rock formations, the isolated tower and extensive views across the Cheshire Plain and Potteries make it particularly strong for silhouettes, atmospheric landscapes and architectural photography.
