The Pap of Glencoe rises to 742 metres, its steep conical profile forming an outlier of the Aonach Eagach ridge. The mountain is composed largely of ancient volcanic rocks associated with the Glencoe caldera, later heavily reshaped by glaciers that carved the surrounding glens and corries.
