St Edmundsbury Cathedral is a Gothic church with a long nave, cloisters and a prominent central tower completed in the 21st century. It became a cathedral when the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich was created in 1914. A major modern campaign completed its unfinished Gothic vision with a new tower finished in the 21st century.
