Address

St Magnus Cathedral is a substantial medieval church built from alternating local red and yellow sandstone, with heavy Romanesque arches, later Gothic details and a tall central tower. Built principally from local red and yellow sandstone, the church is predominantly Romanesque with later Gothic additions. Magnus's relics remain within the choir, and the remarkably complete medieval building reflects Orkney's centuries within the Norse world.
