Address

The Tay Road Bridge stretches for more than a mile across the wide waters of the Firth of Tay, creating a long, clean line that can dominate otherwise open compositions. Its repeating supports and gently changing profile work particularly well in distant views, where the scale of the crossing becomes apparent against the water and sky.

Conditions on the firth can transform its appearance, from calm water and soft light to dramatic cloud, mist and rougher weather. The bridge can be treated as the main architectural subject or used as a strong geometric element within broader waterside landscapes, with its length making it well suited to panoramic compositions.
