Address

West Kennet Long Barrow was built around 3650 BC and remained in use for at least a millennium. Its long chalk-and-sarsen mound contains five chambers opening from a central passage. Remains of at least 46 people were recovered during excavation. Around 2000 BC the tomb was closed, its passage filled and the entrance blocked with massive sarsen stones.
