Chelsea Bridge is a slender suspension bridge with two steel towers, sweeping cables and a broad roadway crossing the Thames beside Battersea Park. Its steel suspension structure is supported by two river piers and slender towers, with cables anchored into the banks. The crossing forms part of the carefully planned riverside setting around Battersea Park and the former power station.
