Address

Kisimul Castle is a compact stone fortress occupying almost the whole of a tiny rocky island, with a curtain wall wrapped around a courtyard, tower house and smaller domestic buildings. A compact courtyard held a hall, chapel and domestic buildings. After the clan reacquired Barra in 1937, extensive restoration returned the ruin to occupation.
