Robin Hood's Bay is a former smuggling village of red-roofed cottages tumbling down a steep ravine to a wide, fossil-rich shore on the North Yorkshire coast. Narrow lanes and stepped alleys between the houses give close, textured views, while the beach opens onto long sightlines along the cliffs.
