Address

St Paul's Cathedral is Christopher Wren's monumental Baroque church, dominated by its huge lead-covered dome, twin western towers and Portland stone façades. After its medieval predecessor was destroyed in the Great Fire of 1666, Christopher Wren designed an entirely new cathedral, built between 1675 and 1710. Its great dome, carried above the crossing by a sophisticated three-part structure, became one of the defining works of English Baroque architecture.
