The Victoria and Albert Museum is a vast complex of richly decorated Victorian and Edwardian galleries built around courtyards, with an elaborate red-brick and stone façade on Cromwell Road. Successive 19th-century ranges created a richly varied complex, later unified by Aston Webb's monumental Cromwell Road frontage, completed in 1909.
